Our Difference
1J Homes, formerly known as Brown Wegher Residential in Sioux City, is excited to announce our name change and added location. In early 2021, Brown Wegher Residential was acquired by Journey Group, a long-standing group of construction companies based out of Sioux Falls. Together, with our vast construction experience and relationships, we are able to offer an even more exceptional home building experience in both the Sioux City and Sioux Falls markets. To serve both communities and better represent our new, enhanced team – 1J Homes was born.
The 1J Homes name represents two teams merging into one as well as the extraordinary Journey that one goes through when building their dream home.
What makes 1J Homes unique is our versatility. Not only do we build custom homes, but also model homes that can be customized to your needs, we build town houses, multi-family dwellings, we remodel existing homes and we even design entire communities. This versatility allows us to draw experience from all our divisions, which in turn has created a knowledgeable diverse team who will walk you through every step of the process, from site selection all the way through your final walk-through.
